TRACKLIGHT – Brand new strobe !

The TrackLight is a strobe used to visualize the heights of the ends of the helicopter blades for Track adjustment.

It is the latest addition to Semia’s product range and it has been developed to meet the needs and usage habits of our customers.

Thanks to its rotary push-knob and its OLED screen, navigation between the different menus is very simple and intuitive.

It is possible to access the following menus:

– Home screen on which the measurement of the top synchronization speed is displayed
– Adjustment of the number of blades (from 1 to 9)
– Adjustment of the spread of displayed targets (to facilitate their viewing)
– Adjustment of the aiming azimuth (in order to be able to visualize the targets according to a precise azimuth)

This equipment can be used alone (connected to the optical or magnetic pick-up) or with a vibration analyzer such as the Syntham 5000. It represents an excellent alternative (or a useful complement) to the optical camera supplied with the Syntham 5000 depending on users work habits.

S5000/S2000 tester

S5000/S2000 TESTER

Thanks to this equipment, it is possible to optimize and facilitate the operating of the Syntham devices range. S5000/S2000 Tester has three main functions.

By simulating the signal emission, S5000/S2000 Tester can:
• Check the good calibration level
• Check the good condition of the accelerometer cable
• Make a better understanding during training in the classroom

Syntham 5000

SYNTHAM 5000 – All in One GSE !

Syntham 5000 is designed to give a modular and complete solution to any customer performing vibration check on aircraft.

It allows to:

– Perform Rotor Track and Balance (RTB) on helicopter or fixed wing aircraft propeller
– Perform Engine Vibration Control (EVC) on helicopter turbines
– Control any other vibration thanks to other functions regarding manufacturer’s procedures

The customer can choose all or any part of the Syntham 5000 functions inside the 2 main categories : Airframe and/or Engine.

With its modular capabilities, the Syntham 5000 is also able to be adapted to the technical context of the customer and its equipment level. The Syntham 5000 is compatible with all sensors and cables already owned by the customer with other equipment.

Its User Interface with French/English languages and its touchscreen give an intuitive and simple use of the Syntham 5000 without any laptop or external card reader.

All data and parameters are saved on internal flash memory. The export of measurements and the upgrade of system datas are performed by USB key.

VibSim’s purpose is to simulate on the workshop table or in a training room fixed wings or rotating blades aircraft’s vibrations.

The equipment is mainly reserved for the training of aeronautical maintenance technicians as well as for design offices.

The speed of the discs being adjustable, it is possible to simulate any type of helicopter and to train in the use of any vibration analyzer (such as the Syntham 5000) thanks to the brackets provided to install the various sensors required (accelerometer, vibrometer, optical pick-up and magnetic pick-up).

Syntham 2000

This equipment is dedicated to the vibration follow up of turbo-engine groups, on a bench or aboard aircraft. It is a lightweight and compact equipment.

Thanks to its easy operating mode, it enables a quick and precise interpretation of vibratory measures for a turbo-engine group and its different mobile parts.

Syntham 2000 checks all kinds of engines and has many functions thanks to its portable PC (Frequency metering unit, Statism, Turbine Autorotation Time).

Since the end of 2018, Semia has declared the progressive obsolescence of Syntham 2000 which is now replaced by the Syntham 5000 (see declaration of obsolescence).

Helitune Ltd.

This system allows an analysis of the vibration data trends during a flight or in the course of time.

This portable device, thanks to its integrated microprocessor, allows collection of the data necessary to perform blade adjustment without human interpretation. As a matter of fact, you only need to follow the measuring protocol to obtain the adjustment to be carried out.
The Rotortuner adaptation to each type of helicopter is made possible thanks to a specific software.

Absorber Tuning Unit

ABSORBER TUNING UNIT – for cabin absorbers setting

Semia is proud to propose this new equipment as an option for Syntham 5000 or for autonomous usage.

The Absorber Tuning Unit is dedicated to helicopters with cabin settable anti-vibrators (ex: AS350/H125, EC120 and EC130B4 families from Airbus Helicopters).

Without any consumption of fuel or technical flight, this unit generates a specific vibration through its power channel (amplifier and shaker) and measures vibrations on 2 accelerometers channels (one on a structure, one on a settable mass) in order to give a solution to set the answer of the cabin to the minimum.

Absorber Tuning Unit has been validated by Airbus Helicopters (for AS350/H125 family) and owns a AH Part Number ref. ATV-2000 (1913350).

HELIVIB – On-Board version of semia skills – Engine Vibration Control & Rotor Track and Balance

The Supplement Type Certificate of semia’s on-board system Helivib has been validated by EASA in April 2016 for AS350 family.

Helivib is designed to work without any human action during all operational flights. The maintenance team will only be focused on results review after each flight.

Helivib gives a complete feedback on aircraft vibratory health in 5 steps:

1 – During each start-up, the equipment performs automatically a complete engine vibration check (on generator and free turbine, on 1 to 3 channels)
2 – At nominal rotor speed, during ground and hover conditions, Helivib turns automatically to RTB mode and measures vibrations on rotors (3 channels, tail rotor during ground condition only)
3 – During the flight, the equipment is able to recognize any sequence looking as flight conditions defined by the manufacturer for Rotor Track and Balance settings.
4 – Back to the ground, when the helicopter power-supply has been turned off, Helivib send the measured datas by GPRS transmission without human ressource.
5 – Finally, the maintenance technician performs a latest datas review on a specific semia software to determine the vibration status of the helicopter: able or not able to flight more without vibration setting or mechanical investigation.
